Apa itu contraction?

Contractions adalah singkatan-singkatan dalam Bahasa Inggris yang sering diterapkan penggunaannya dalam sebuah percakapan.

Contraction adalah kata atau satu set angka yang satu atau lebih huruf atau angkanya telah dihilangkan.
Pada umumnya, contraction digunakan pada saat seseorang berbicara dan menulis dalam keadaan yang tidak formal (informal writing). Jangan pernah menggunakan contraction pada saat formal writing. Untuk membentuknya, kalian harus meletakkan tanda baca apostrophe (‘) pada posisi huruf atau angka yang dihilangkan.
