Berikut adalah contoh dialog percakapan bahasa Inggris tiga orang di supermarket.

1. At The Fruit Stall – Di Stan Buah-buahan

Remy : What is your favorite fruit Sammy? – Apa buah favoritmu, Sammy?

Sammy : Actually I’m very liked banana – sebenarnya aku sangat suka buah pisang

Romy :  I prefer avocado than a banana, how about you Remy? – aku lebih suka buah alpukat daripada buah pisang, bagaimana denganmu Remy?

Remy : I’m like apple, it’s good for the digestion – Aku suka buah apel, karena baik untuk pencernaan

Sammy : How about we take a look at the fruit stall friends? – Bagaimana kalo kita melihat-lihat ke bagian buah teman

Romy : Sounds good – ide bagus

Remy : Looks like most of the fruit here is freshly picked from the garden – Sepertinya kebanyakan dari buah di sini seperti baru selesai dipetik dari kebunnya

Sammy : Yeah, that orange looks very fresh – Ya, buah jeruk ini terlihat sangat segar

Romy : Can we taste it a bit? – Bolehkah kita mencicipinya sedikit?

Remy : of course not, there is a signboard that telling to not sip a fruit before it has been paid – Tentu saja tidak, di sana ada papan penunjuk yang mengatakan tidak boleh mencoba buah sebelum dibayar

Sammy : Look here, this looks like a rare Japanese watermelon as I seen on the TV – lihat sini, ini seperti buah semangka Jepang yang langka yang aku lihat di TV

Romy : What’s so special from this watermelon, Sammy? – Apa yang spesial dari buah semangka ini Sammy?

Remy : I don’t know what so special from this watermelon Sammy, but it cost almost as much as Rp 477.800/kg  – Aku tidak tahu apa hal istimewa dari buah semangka ini Sammy, tapi harganya hampir mencapai 477.800 rupiah per kilonya

Sammy : You know guys, this watermelon has no seed at all –Kalian tahu, buah semangka ini tidak memiliki biji sama sekali

Romy : Oh, no wonder Sammy – Pantas saja, Sammy

Remy : Ok, but I think all watermelon have the same taste – Tapi kukira semua semangka rasanya sama

Sammy : ok, I’m just want to buy 2 bananas and one local watermelon – oke, aku hanya ingin membeli 2 buah pisang dan satu semangka lokal saja

Romy : I’ll buy this golden kiwi instead – Aku ingin membeli buah kiwi emas ini saja 

2. At the Dairy stall – Di Stan Susu

Remy : Hey guys which one is tastier, the pasteurized milk or the fresh milk? – hey kawan yang mana yang rasanya lebih enak, susu pasteurisasi atau susu segar?

Sammy : I don’t know, I’m very disliked milk – aku tidak tahu, aku sangat tidak suka susu

Romy : I think fresh milk is tastier since it didn’t processed with an additive substance – Aku kira susu segar lebih enak karena tidak diproses dengan menggunakan zat tambahan

Remy : But from the information section, fresh milk cannot be outside of the refrigerator for a long time – Tapi dari apa yang kulihat di bagian informasi, susu segar tidak bisa ditaruh di luar kulkas dalam waktu yang lama.

Sammy : Just buy both – Beli saja keduanya

Romy : It depends, You can put the fresh milk outside the refrigerator as long as you didn’t break the seal – Tergantung. Kau tetap bisa menaruhnya di luar kulkas asal tidak membuka segelnya

3. At the Cashier – Di Kasir

Remy : Look!, we can get a discount if we paying our purchase with the credit card  – Lihat!, kita bisa mendapat potongan harga apabila kita membayar belanjaan dengan kartu kredit

Sammy : Good Riddance – Syukurlah

Romy : looks like my credit card is already passing the usage limit – Sepertinya kartu kreditku sudah melewati batas pemakaian

Remy : Don’t worry. I’ll pay all of our purchase with mine. You guys can payback to me later – Jangan Khawatir, aku akan membayar semua belanjaan kita dengan punyaku, kalian bisa membayar nanti

Sammy : Thanks Remy – Terima kasih Remy
