Pengertian Double Possessive
Double possessive yang dikenal juga dengan istilah double genetive adalah konstruksi possessive berupa preposition of diikuti possessive form (possessive noun (Marina’s) atau possessive personal pronoun (mine, hers)).
Possessive noun atau pronoun setelah of tersebut umumnya berupa animate object (manusia) dan definite; sedangkan noun (kata benda) yang mendahului of, yang berfungsi sebagai animate object’s possession tersebut indefinite (a friend, a person), kecuali jika diawali oleh demonstrative adjective (this, that, these, those).
