Percakapan adalah interaksi berbicara yang dilakukan antara 2 orang atau lebih. According to Schiffin, percakapan adalah suatu interaksi yang tertib dan merupakan wahana pembicara dan pendengar mengkoordinasi produksi bersama tentang makna dan aksi di dalam suatu konteks sesaat interaksi sosial secara sinambung. Dalam Bahasa Inggris, percakapan disebut sebagai conversation. Ketika melakukan percakapan, pastinya tidak terlepas dari 2 hal, yaitu grammar dan tenses.

Pada artikel kali ini, saya ingin memberikan contoh percakapan antara resepsionis dan tamu dalam Bahasa Inggris. Mendengar kata resepsionis dan tamu, anda pastinya langsung berpikir bahwa percakapan ini dilakukan di hotel. Ya, benar. Semua orang pastinya pernah melakukan perjalanan, entah itu di dalam negeri atau di luar negeri. Percakapan dapat dilakukan dalam berbagai Bahasa, seperti Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Inggris atau bahasa lainnya. Percakapan yang baik adalah dimana semua pihak mengerti maksudnya.
