Melewati ujian adalah salah satu syarat penting dalam dunia pendidikan agar bisa melanjutkan ke tingkat atau jenjang berikutnya. Akan tetapi, terkadang hal yang tidak diinginkan terjadi sehingga kita melewatkan kesempatan untuk mengikutinya. Dialogue I

A: Excuse me, Ma’am. (Permisi, Bu)

A: I’m really sorry that I had to miss the test we had on Monday. Unfortunately, I was still hospitalized and just got to come back to college yesterday. I would really appreciate the opportunity to make up the test. (Maaf saya melewatkan ujian kita di hari Senin. Sayangnya saya masih diopname and baru kembali ke kampus kemarin. A: I’m sorry I couldn’t make it to your class yesterday for I was ill. I have a note from my doctor. Would it be possible if I ask to schedule a makeup test with you? (Saya mohon maaf tidak bisa hadir di kelas Anda kemarin karena sakit. Saya ada surat dari dokter. Apakah memungkinkan jika saya meminta untuk menjadwalkan ujian susulan dengan Anda?)

B: When will you be ready to take it? (Kapan kau siap mengikutinya?)

A: I’ll be ready anytime. I studied hard for the test. (Saya akan siap kapan saja. Saya sudah belajar keras untuk ujiannya)

B: That’s good to hear. I will be available tomorrow from 9 to 11. You have 45 minutes for the test. (Senang mendengarnya. Saya ada waktu besok dari jam 9 sampai jam 11. Kau punya 45 menit untuk mengerjakan ujian)
