Contoh dialog bahasa Inggris tentang budaya China

Berikut adalah contoh percakapan bahasa Inggris dua orang dengan tema budaya Cina.

Percakapan I

  • Andi: Lee, aren’t you a Chinese? (Lee, bukankah kau dari China)
  • Lee: Yes i am Andi, what’s the matter? (Ya, betul Andi, kenapa emangnya?)
  • Andi: So, you will celebrate the Lunar New Year this month, don’t you? (Jadi, kau akan merayakan Imlek bulan ini, betul kan?)
  • Lee: Yup, my Mom has prepared everything i guess. Why won’t you come to my home at Lunar New Year? (Ya, Ibuku telah menyiapkan semuanya kurasa. Kenapa kau tidak datang saja ke rumahku tahun baru nanti?)
  • Andi: Can I? (Bolehkah?)
  • Lee: Of course you are welcome to join with us. We have bunch of banquet and you can also see lion dance. (Tentu saja kau boleh sekali bergabung dengan kami. Kami akan mengadakan jamuan besar dan kau juga bisa melihat barongsai.)
  • Andi: Really? I have heard about that before. But to see it directly, it must be great. (Benarkah? Aku pernah mendengarnya sebelumnya. Tapi belum pernah melihat secara langsung, tentu sangat menyenangkan.)

Percakapan II

  • Mei: Li, see this, this year will be year of pig. That’s my my sign. (Lia, lihat ini, tahun ini adalah tahun babi. Itu zodiakku.)
  • Lia: What did you say? Your sign? Aren’t you Sagittarius? (Apa yang barusan kau bilang? Zodiakmu? Bukankah kau Sagitarius?)
  • MeiMei: Ah, i forgot to tell you it’s Chinese animal signs. (Ah, aku lupa mengatakan padamu ini zodiak hewan dalam China)
  • Lia: I never think about Chinese signs before. What is that? How did it count? (Aku belum pernah tau sebelumnya tentang zodiak China. Apa itu? Bagaimana mereka menentukannya?)
  • Mei: Well it has 12 animal signs, it also called shengxiao or Chinese Zodiac which each years represented by animals and its reputed attributes. (Ada 12 zodiak hewan, ini disebut juga dengan shengxiao atau zodiak China yang setiap tahunnya dilambangkan dengan hewan dan sifat-sifat yang menyertainya.)
  • Lia: What is my sign then in Chinese zodiac? (Lalu apa zodiakku dalam China?)
  • Mei: You born at 1990, then your sign will be horse. (Kau terlahhir di tahun 1990, berarti zodiakmu adalah kuda.)
  • Lia: Ah, I see then. (Ah, begitu.)

Percakapan III

  • Andi: Dom, let’s go get a Chinese food for lunch. (Dom, yuk kita makan makanan China buat makan siang.)
  • Domi: Hmm, i don’t know, dont really know about Chinese food. (Hmm, entahlah, aku tidak terlalu paham makanan China.)
  • Andi: So did you ever eat it even for once? (Apakah kau pernah memakannya sebelumnya?)
  • Domi: Yeah, i ever eat once, i guess it’s a wonton or something. I just forget the name. (Ya, aku pernah makan sekali, kurasa namanya wonton atau apalah. Aku lupa namanya.)
  • Andi: We’re gonna eat dumplings and seafood. You are gonna love that. (Kita akan makan pangsit dan makanan laut. Kau akan menyukainya.)
  • Domi: Well, maybe i have to taste it. (Baiklah, mungkin aku harus mencobanya.)
  • Andi: Come one, you’re not gonna dissapointed. (Ayolah, kau tidak akan menyesal.)

Percakapan IV

  • Lia: Dom, let’s try a rickshaw. (Dom, ayo kita naik becak.)
  • Dom: Where will we go? (Kita mau pergi kemana?)
  • Lia: How about going to the temple? i’ve found one around here. Let’s make some wish there. (Gimana kalo kita ke kuil, aku lihat ada di sekitar sini. Mari kita buat permohonan disana.)
  • Dom: Well, let’s go then. (Baiklah, ayo pergi.)
  • Lia: Ah, go get that fortune cookies Dom. I want one. (Ah, tolong ambilkan kue keberentungan Dom. Aku mau satu.)
  • Dom: Here you go, what else? (Ini, ada lagi?)
  • Lia: Nothing, it’s enough. (Tidak ini sudah cukup.)

Ada banyak kosakata selain contoh yang telah disebutkan di atas yang berkaitan dengan budaya China yang dapat anda gunakan sehari-hari.
