Question Tag sering disebut ekor tanya. Question tag biasanya digunakan untuk memperjelas pernyataan sehingga kadang tidak butuh jawaban. Question tag dibentuk dengan pola seperti berikut ini:

Positive sentences, negative tag?

Keterangan:

• To be tagnya adalah to be negative
• Hanya I yang to be-nya berubah dari am menjadi are, yang lain tetap
• verb tagnya adalah don’t/doesn’t/didn’t
• auxiliary tagnya adalah auxiliary negatif Question
