Bagaimana cara merubah direct speech menjadi indirect speech pada kalimat mengandung "say, says, will say"?

Jika dalam suatu kalimat direct speech kita menemukan kata "say/says/will say", maka jangan merubah tensesnya saat kita merubahnya ke bentuk kalimat indirect speech. 

DS: Direct Speech

IS: Indirect Speech

Contoh kalimat perubahan DS ke IS:

DS: He says,” I was a fool then”

IS: He says he was a fool then.

DS: She says,” I will be more experienced then”

IS: She says she will be more experienced then

DS: I will say, ” He loves cricket’

IS: I will say he loves cricket

DS: She will say,” He was in the land of nod then”

IS: She will say he was in the land of nod then.

DS: They will say,” We will achieve greatness”

IS : They will say we will achieve greatness.

Perhatikan contoh-contoh di atas! Pada direct speech (DS) kita menemukan "say/says/will say", maka tenses yang digunakan pada kalimat langsung tidak mengalami perubahan. 

Contoh lain:

DS : Rio says, “The cat eats the fish.”

IS : Rio says the cat eats the fish.

DS : Antoni says. “ My mother is beautiful.”

IS : Antoni says his mother is beautiful.

-------

DS : Alvin says, “ Jambi is a clean city.”

IS : Alvin says Jambi is a clean city.
