Perpustakaan adalah tempat yang sangat nyaman untuk membaca buku. Pada umumnya suatu perpustakaan memiliki koleksi buku yang banyak, mulai dari puluhan hingga jutaan buku. Banyak siswa atau mahasiswa menggunakan perpustakaan selain untuk membaca buku, juga untuk berdiskusi, dan membahas hal lainnya.

Berikut ini contoh dialog dan percakapan bahasa Inggris tentang buku favorit / buku kesukaan dan perpustakaan.

Talking About Book at Library

Yunita: Hei Winda. What are you doing sist?

Winda: Oh…Yunita. I just read some books.

Yunita: How often do you go to the library, Winda?

Winda: Wait… I remember first. How about you?

Yunita: Actuallnya I rarely visit the library, you?

Winda: I visit the library at least three times a week.

Yunita: Wow! Nice habits! Why do you often visit the library, Win?

Winda: Basically, I like reading very much and I think Reading is one way to open our mind.

Yunita: What kind of book do you like to read?

Winda: I like comedy book very much. I usually read it in the afternoon and in the evening after studying.

Yunita: Why do you like to read comedy?

Winda: First, I love comedy and I want to refresh my mind plus improving my reading ability.

Do you like reading comedy too?

Yunita: Yes, I do, but I don’t have much time to read because I have to help my parents.

Winda: Good boy! How about you? I mean, what kind of book do you like to read?

Yunita: I like English book. In my opinion English book is the best way to learn English. However, I can’t speak English fluently now. But, read an English book means I’m trying to speak English everywhere.

Winda: Yes, I do agree with you. That’s why we are speaking English. Hahaha 😀

Yunita: I think I have to go to my class now. See you after school.

Winda: See you.

Terjemahan:

Yunita: Hai Winda. Apa yang sedang kamu lakukan mbak?

Winda: Oh…Yunita. Aku cuma membaca beberapa buku.

Yunita: Seberapa sering kamu ke perpustakaan, Winda?

Winda: Tunggu… Aku ingat-ingat dulu. Kalo kamu gimana?

Yunita: Sebenarnya, kalo aku jarang pergi ke perpustakaan, kamu?

Winda: Aku pergi ke perpustakaan paling tidak tiga kali seminggu.

Yunita: Wow! Kebiasaan yang bagus! Mengapa kamu sering pergi ke perpustakaan, Win?

Winda: Pada dasarnya, aku sangat suka membaca dan aku pikir membaca adalah salah satu cara untuk membuka wawasan kita.

Yunita: Buku jenis apa yang kamu senangi untuk dibaca?

Winda: Aku sangat senang membaca buku komedi. Aku biasanya membaca di sore dan malam hari setelah belajar.

Yunita: Mengapa kamu suka membaca komedi?

Winda: Pertama, aku memang senang komedi dan aku ingin menyegarkan pikiran sekaligus meningkatkan kemampuan membacaku. Kamu juga suka membaca buku komedi?

Yunita: Ya, tapi aku tidak memiliki banyak waktu untuk membaca karena aku harus menolong orang tua ku.

Winda: Anak baik! Bagaimana denganmu? Maksudku, buku jenis apa yang kamu senangi?

Yunita: Saya suka membaca buku bahasa Inggris. Menurutku buku bahsa Inggris adalah cara terbaik untuk mempelajari bahasa Inggris. Meskipun, saat ini aku belum bisa berbicara bahasa Inggris dengan lancar. Tapi, membaca buku sebuah bahasa Inggris merarti aku sedang mencoba untuk berbicara bahasa Inggris dimanapun.

Winda: Ya, aku sangat setuju denganmu. Itulah mengapa sekarang kita berbicara bahasa Inggris. Hahaha

Yunita: Aku pikir sekarang aku harus pergi ke kelas. Sampai jumpa sepulang sekolah ya.

Winda: Sampai jumpa.
