Contoh percakapan bahasa Inggris tentang berita buruk dan cara menanggapinya

Apa yang terjadi jika seseorang menyampaikan berita atau kabar buruk kepada kita tentang sesuatu hal. Pasti kita akan kaget ketika mendengarnya. Biasanya kita akan merespons atau menanggapi kalimat kabar buruk itu dengan kata-kata "oh tidak / sayang sekali / saya turut bersedih dan berduka" dan sebagainya.

Untuk menggambarkan situasi tentang berita buruk dan kalimat respond atau atau jawabannya, berikut ini saya buatkan contoh percakapan atau dialog bahasa Inggris yang berisi kalimat mengenai kabar buruk dan contoh kalimat tanggapannya disertai dengan terjemahannya:

Contoh percakapan 1

A: Why you didn’t come to the event last week? (Mengapa kamu tidak datang ke acara pekan kemarin?)

B: I intended to come, but I got an accident before coming here (Aku berniat datang, tapi aku terkena kecelakaan sebelum datang ke sini)

A: Oh no, that’s terrible! How’s your condition? (Oh tidak, itu buruk! Bagaimana kondisi kamu?)

B: Thankfully, it was a minor accident and I didn’t really injured (Bagusnya, itu kecelakaan kecil dan aku tidak luka-luka)

A: But you still go to hospital and see a doctor, in case there are some unseen injuries. I can accompany you if you want (Tapi kamu tetap harus ke rumah sakit dan periksa ke dokter, kalau-kalau ada luka yang tidak terlihat. Aku bisa menemani kamu kalau mau)

B: Thank you, I will take your offer. It’s kinda scary to go to hospital alone (terima kasih, aku terima tawaran kamu. Lumayan mengerikan ke rumah sakit sendiri)

Contoh percakapan 2

A: I heard that your father was hospistalized last week. How’s his condition now? (Aku dengar ayah kamu masuk rumah sakit pekan lalu. Bagaimana keadaannya sekarang?)

B: Not good, honestly. His disease wasn’t detected early, so it’s spreading throughout his body now (Tidak bagus, sebenarnya. Penyakitnya tidak terdeteksi lebih awal, jadi sekarang sudah menyebar ke seluruh tubuhnya)

A: Oh dear! I’m really sorry to hear that (Ya ampun! Aku turut sedih mendengarnya)

B: Yeah, thank you (Yah, terima kasih)

A: But the hospital can give him the right treatment, right? (Tapi rumah sakit bisa memberi pengobatan yang tepat, kan?)

B: I don’t know, my father must undergo some tests before given a treatment (Aku tidak tahu, ayahku harus dites ini itu dulu sebelum diberi perawatan)

A: I hope things will be better. If there’s anything I can do, just let me know (Aku harap semuanya akan lebih baik. Kalau ada yang bisa aku bantu, katakan saja)

B: Thank you (Terima kasih)

Contoh percakapan 3

A: Did you hear the news about our school construction? It will be stopped next week (Kamu sudah mendengar tentang pembangunan sekolah kita? Itu akan dihentikan pekan depan)

B: What? Why? (Apa? Kenapa?)

A: The chairman of our school foundation was founded guilty for corruption, and the construction was suspected as one of his medium to corrupt (Ketua yayasan sekolah kita terbukti bersalah karena korupsi, dan pembangunan itu dicurigai salah satu sarana dia korupsi)

B: That’s awful! I can’t believe it! (Parah sekali! Aku tidak menyangka!)

A: That’s indeed unbelievable, right? I mean, the chairman seems like a good person (Itu memang tidak disangka, kan? Maksudku, ketua yayasan kelihatannya orang baik)

Contoh percakapan 4

A: Are you alone? Didn’t you say that you will come with your roommate? (Kamu sendiri? Bukannya kamu katakan mau datang bersama teman sekos kamu?)

B: That was the plan, but unfortunately he’s sick (Rencananya sih begitu, tapi sayangnya dia sakit)

A: Oh my goodness! Is his condition really bad? (Ya ampun! Apa kondisinya benar-benar buruk?)

B: I think so, I will bring him to the hospital later. I just want to take our books here and come back to the boarding immediately (Sepertinya sih begitu, aku mau membawa dia ke rumah sakit nanti. Aku hanya ingin mengambil buku kami di sini dan langsung balik lagi ke asrama)

A: Anytime you need help, just call me (Kapanpun kamu butuh bantuan, katakan saja padaku)

B: Okay (Oke)
