Dialog 1

Percakapan antara pelanggan dan penjual mie goreng.

Customer: Excuse me. I’d like to order two bowls of fried noodles, please. (Permisi. Saya ingin pesan dua mangkuk mie goreng.)

Food seller: Sure. Is there anything else? (Baik. Apa ada lagi?)

Customer: I’d like extra sauce for one of the noodles. (Saya ingin tambahan saus untuk satu mienya.)

Food seller: Very well. Would you like some carrot and bean sprouts on the noodles? (Baik.

Customer: Yep. (Ya.)

Food seller: How about fried onion? (Bagaimana dengan bawang goreng?)

Customer: Yes. I’d like it on the noodles. (Ya, saya ingin bawang goreng di mienya.)

Food seller: All right. Here are your noodles. (Baik. Ini mienya.)

Customer: Thanks. How much do I owe you? (Terima kasih. Berapa totalnya?)

Food seller: That would be Rp14.000. (Totalnya menjadi Rp14.000)

Customer: Here’s the money. (Ini uangnya.)

Food seller: Thanks. Here’s your change. (Terima kasih. Ini kembaliannya.)

Dialog 2

Percakapan antara pelayan kafe dan pembeli.

Customer: What food are we going to have today?

Cafeteria assistant: We have mashed potato, sausage, tofu, and some broccoli soup.

Customer: Don’t give me the soup, please. I hate broccoli. (Jangan beri aku supnya. Aku benci brokoli.)

Cafeteria assistant: Okay. (Oke.)

Customer: May I have extra sausages? (Boleh aku minta sosis tambahan?)

Cafeteria assistant: I’m afraid not. All students get the equal amount of sausage. (Maaf tidak bisa. Semua murid dapat jumlah sosis yang sama.)

Customer: Okay. May I have extra mashed potato, then? (Oke.

Cafeteria assistant: Sure. (Boleh.)

Customer: Thank you. (Terima kasih.)
