Hello Sarkum,

Untuk membuat kalimat simple past tense maka kita perlu mengetahui kegunaan tenses ini yaitu:

• Menunjukkan peristiwa di masa lalu yang telah selesai. Contoh: I went to school.
• Menyatakan tindakan atau kejadian di masa lalu. Contoh: They lived a normal life until they won a lottery.
• Menunjukkan rangkaian kejadian di masa lalu. Contoh: He was a businessman in 2001.

Contoh lainnya:

• I sold these motorcycles in Surabaya last month.
• When they were small, Ari and Budi used to play together by making up stories.
• I washed my bike when it was dirty, but now I am lazy to wash it.
• I always bring my dictionary every day to my school, but I forgot to bring it yesterday.
• Ari was a good student. He did every task very well in school and was liked by everyone, including his teacher.

Kalimat negatif:

• She did not visit me yesterday.
• My parents were not at home this afternoon.

Kalimat tanya:

• Did you study English last night?
• Did you play football yesterday?
